Israel lost this battle because they succumb to a politically correct war whereby they were gun shy after listening to the UN. The correct solution to Hezzbollah next time when they commit an offense towards Israel should be total ruin including all people who reside south of the Latanni River, no warning should be given, and all who die will be the result of Hezzbola's actions, not Israels. Victory and Peace only comes from defeat.

I agree with you. Even former Hezbollah members agree the only way to deal with their hate is to kill them or wipe them out.

When I was a kid, we studied history. We were taught about the Holacost. We were told we needed to know about such horrible hate from mankind against others, so we would never allow such to happen again. What is Hezbolla, Ahmandinijhad, fanatic Islamic Fascists, but Nazis all over again. Europe tried to appease Hitler, people were scared, but look what happened? The French caved in then as they are now. Nothing changes but time. If you want to go way back, go to the Crusades.

In the last Crusade, Saladin and Richard The Lion-Hearted, came to a temporary truce. Richard knew Saladin would whip him. Salidin was not too certain himself. Richard had already taken the towns that are now part of northern Israel. The ( al-axe sp?) Mosque had the cross on the top of it. Saladin wanted to replace it once again with the crescent. He wanted Jerusalem. Muslims the world over has been angered over the Jewish state of Israel. If we are not in the midst of another Crusade...but no one can mention this.

I do not know about you, but I am scared to death. Our leaders do not have our interests at heart. So much is wrong with the world. I am very afraid for the younger generation. Most either do not care what is happening or, if they do care, just don't know.

"Victory and peace only comes from defeat." Yep! The future is full of many battles to fight and win. The answer to Hezbolla's hate is to eradicate it. I know of but one way.

How naive you are. This wasn't a war about two kidnapped soldiers. This attack was planned well before the soldiers were kidnapped. It's a proven fact that Cheney was consulted by Israel on the planning of the attack. The goal was to take out Hezbollah's rockets, missiles and ability to attack Israel when the US launches it's attack on Iran. It was also a test to see if the air strikes would be sufficient to attack Iran - since we obviously do not have enough boots to put on the ground.

Would you please do some research? Use your internet connection for something constructive - like educating yourself.

It's a no-win situation. Israel, of course could have ended the war in 1 day if they wanted. But, they had to take into consideration all the civilians. If they don't, they would alienate the entire world -- including their closest ally.

That would lead towards isolation, decreased weapon imports, etc. They would stand to lose more than they would gain.

To "Randy D" -- I don't like the your idea of a whole lot of M-16's facing Hezbollah. That's American weaponry. Let's see what UN forces and the legitimate Lebanese government can do first. If that doesn't work (which it probably won't), then let it be handled with Israeli arms and armor. It's not our war.

And then what? Is hatred toward Israel limited to one people or group? Is killing the innocent, or in other words, taking on the very hatred of your adversary along with their hate producing behaviors, ever a remedy for anything? Is this the way we ought to raise our children?

Well Johnny, the only way to get that bully to stop pushing you at the bus stop is to beat the living bejesus out of him, his friends and, while you're at it, everybody else at the bus stop. Boy o boy, nobody's ever gonna bug you again.

Hogwash!

Right On Mr. Zar. I see you read Seymour Hersh too. I was going to compose a smart *** answer but your reference to his article is prompting me to put the link right here for those who are willing to open their minds for a change and get an education on what is really going on in the Middle East. And no, it is not some Left wing or Liberal propaganda. It is a very long, extensive report by a highly respected Journalist and is well worth your time to read. http://www.newyorker.com/fact/content/articles/060821fa_fact

Amen, amen, amen. Wars should not be fought with a minimilist mentality. And that is exactly what the Hezzbo's and other chicken crap gutless terrorist are counting on. Kick their butts the way it used to be done in combat and 'to the victor, goes the spoils'. We'll be much better off for it.

I tottally Agree. Israel should have attacked Hezzbollah harder and were disracted bt the international community. I do feel very remorseful for those who die innocently but there is no other solution. Hezzbollah is an evil terrorist organization that must be brought down and all its supporters and soldiers killed.

The problem is that military actions against Hezbo increase its popularity. The answer is not war. You have to help the citizens that are turning to this organization because of poverty. We have to think of the Hezbos as a large, well-funded, gang.
