There is a card game I really like to play when I'm there (find a lower limit table to make your money last longer). It's called "Let it Ride" and is a poker game.

Everyone at the table is dealt three cards and the dealer gets two. You're not playing against anyone else for the best hand - all you have to do is get a pair of 10s or better to win.

When you begin, you put up three bets (each bet will be the table minimum -- so if it's a $5 table, you'll place three $5 bets for a total of $15). You are dealt your three cards and decide whether you want to pull back the first bet or not. If you have a decent hand, especially if you already have 10s or better -- you'd let the whole thing ride because you've already won. If you have nothing, you can pull back the first bet.

The dealer turns over their first card. Now you have your three cards and the dealer's first card to make a winning hand. Same decision applies. If, at that point, you have a winning hand, you'd want to let the other $10 (or the whole $15 if you didn't pull back the first bet) ride because you've won. If you still don't have a winning hand, you have the opportunity to pull back the second bet.

This means that you have started out with an opportunity to at least double your whole $15, but you're really only risking $5. You do have to let the last bet ride. The dealer turns over their second card and then the game is over.

The better your poker hand, the better the payout.

I have never played this game and walked away with less than I started.

Good luck and enjoy your trip to Vegas.

Play what is the most fun to you. Set a spending cap before you start.

Yes, there is a chance of winning, but in the long run, you will lose. Therefore, only gamble if you have fun and with an amount that you can afford to lose.

If you hope for a million dollars, play the big payout slot machines. You will most likely not win anything, but there is a slim chance of winning big.

If you want a bigger chance, play the machines with a smaller payout. They give money more frequently.

Or in roulette terms: If you want to win big, play on a single number (e.g. 35). If you want to win, play on the outside bets (e.g. red or 1-12)

Good luck.
