If you take the medication EXACTLY as prescribed by your doctor, you will not become addicted. You may become dependent on the drug for pain relief, but obviously you need pain relief badly or you wouldn't be put on morphine by a doctor in the first place. As your body grows accustomed to the medication, your dosage may have to be increased. IF this is done under direct physician supervision and advice, it is NOT a symptom of addiction. You will need to make sure you drink plenty of fluids and increase your fiber intake or the medication may make you constipated.

that depends, a number of things can happen. it really has alot to do with your body system, wether u r allergic to morphine, or sulfa drugs, everybody has a different body system, morphine may work one way on you, as to me, it may work another way.
