I know that many times in history big women were considered beautiful, and skinny women were considered ugly. Being overweight was a sign of wealth and prosperity. If a woman (or man) was skinny, she was known to be poor. The ideal body was overweight by our standards today. If you look at old painting, especially from the Renaissance era, the women were decidedly plump by today's ideal. Statues from ancient times, like Rome and Egypt, are of women that were well-rounded. In many countries that are cold year round, women with extra padding are still today considered more beautiful than the runway models. Opera singers were once the standard of beauty, and most of them were very large women. Middle Eastern men for thought (and some probably do still think) bigger was better due to conditioning. The richest men and rulers had harems of 100+ women. Since they couldn't leave the harem, and the ladies had nothing to do but eat and wait until the man called for their company, they got fat. So the men were raised around fat women from youth. They grew up thinking that big was beautiful.
Give it enough time, and big will be beautiful again, but probably not in our lifetimes.

if it has to be a "did you know.." i doubt she was that famous..she couldnt have been a supermodel, because a supermodel has to be well-known and well-paid. if she was a one time model, shes hardly a supermodel
