It was next to the Palisade New Jersey but I am not too sure. You had to paid to get in and the lake was surrounded with sand. It had a play area (volleyball net, seesaw, etc.), eating area, and lots of grass. I really enjoy this place and have looked all over. Thanks for whatever help you can give.

Lake Welch is in the Harriman state park on the pallisades parkway. It has a sand beach, but not surrounded by sand ,I dont think. On 7 lakes drive
