i have been doing martial arts for some time now and i have been doing quite a few push ups sit up and other work outs what other methods are there and how long should i work out for?

do you want to bulk up? do weight bearing exercises with light wieghts till every muscle burns, every other day. then on alternate days do heavy weights , one set , not to the max, and jog a mile or two.. OR DO YOU WANT NO BULK? Do static exercises,, that is pushing with all you have against fixed objects that are in various positions., or if you can't get that, work with max wt about an hour a day,, jog and run, and swim for cardio..

Somethings you could try are bike riding, running/jogging, as well as weight trainning every other day just to name a few.

30 minutes to 1 hour every day.
