"Time For Me To Fly" --REO Speedwagon

This is my favorite -- I'll take a guess it's from the 1980s:

ANYTHING FOR YOU (Gloria Estefan)

Anything for you
Though you're not here
Since you said we're through
It seems like years
Time keeps draggin' on and on
And forever's been and gone
Still I can't figure what went wrong

I'd still do anything for you
I'll play your game
You hurt me through and through
But you can have your way
I can pretend each time I see you
That I don't care and I don't need you
And, though you'll never see me cryin'
You know, inside, I feel like dying

And I'd do anything for you
In spite of it all
I've learned so much from you
You made me strong
But don't you ever think that I don't love you
That for one minute I forgot you
But, sometimes, things don't work out right
And you just have to say goodbye

I hope you find someone to please you
Someone who'll care and never leave you
But, if that someone ever hurts you
You just might need a friend to turn to

And I'd do anything for you
I'll give you up
If that's what I should do
To make you happy

Don't you ever think that I don't love you
That, for one minute, I forgot you
But, sometimes, things don't work out right
And you just have to say goodbye

Don't wanna say goodbye

Tegan & Sara's "Where Does The Good Go?" Has a great sound and is a bit different from a traditional breakup song. From the 2004 release "So Jealous." This song was featured on the 2005 Grey's Anatomy soundtrack.

"where do you go with your broken heart in tow? what do you do with the leftover you? and how do you know when to let go? where does the good go?"

I Don't Want To Be Your Friend

NINA

I don't wanna see your face
I don't wanna hear your name
I don't wanna thing
Just stay away baby
Don't wanna know if you're alright
Or what you're doin' with your life
Don't wanna hear you say you'll just stay in touch baby
I'll get by just fine
And if you're goin' then darlin'
Goodbye, goodbye

Don't call me in the middle of the night no more
Don't expect me to be there
Don't think that it will be the way it was before
Don't think that I care
I'm not over you yet
And I don't wanna be your friend

"What becomes of the broken hearted. "

As I walk this land with broken dreams

I have visions of many things

Love's happiness is just an illusion

Filled with sadness and confusion,

What becomes of the broken-hearted

Who had love that's now departed?

I know I've got to find

Some kind of peace of mind

Maybe.

The fruits of love grow all around

But for me they come a tumblin' down.

Every day heartaches grow a little stronger

I can't stand this pain much longer

I walk in shadows

Searching for light

Cold and alone

No comfort in sight,

Hoping and praying for someone to care

Always moving and goin nowhere

What becomes of the broken-hearted
