The Grudge scared the bejeebers outta me! Now they're coming out with a second one (that I won't go see). The Ring was really good, but the second one wasn't so hot. The only good part is when the crazy girl is crawling up the side of the well; she looked like a freakin' spider. The Skeleton Key was great (surprise ending).

The Exorcist (just get the first one don't bother with any sequels.
The Amityville Horror (the original one)
Halloween
Halloween 2 (don't bother with any ones after 2)
Carrie (the original no remake)
The Omen (No remake)
If you can find it The Other (the Original)
All the above are very good movies.

The original Trilogy of Terror.It was a network TV mini movie consisting of 3 short stories.The third and last terrified many across the nation .I was in college at the time and it scared many girls out of their room and into the arms of their boyfreinds in the lounge between the boys and girls dorms where they spent the night.It scared alot of us guys too!!!

1. "Phantasm" (and its sequels) - best horror movies EVER!!!
2. original "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" - freaky but good
3. "Exorcist", "Exorcist: The Beginning", "Exorcism of Emily Rose" - great exorcism movies
4. "The Hills Have Eyes" - INTENSE!
5. "Friday 13th", "Friday 13th: The Final Chapter", "Child's Play", "Nightmare on Elm Street", "Halloween 1, 2, and 5" - great slasher flicks
6. "Skeleton Key" - really, really disturbing and creepy
7. "Terror Firmer", "Toxic Avenger" - funny as hell but very gory
