To me it means the ability to stand by one's convictions, ethics and morals, no matter what the odds or circumstances. Ghandi had a brave heart, as did Martin Luther King.

In English, veer is a verb that means to change direction or to swerve. It's still a nice Hindi name, though, and I like the meaning, but I personally prefer Veera (which also means "the brave").

having a brave heart means that you're willing to go to wal-mart and steal one of their shopping carts. I just love the new models they are coming out with. It makes it easier to haul my stuff around town
