I've had an MRI which says my back(lumbar spine) is OK.. also an ultra sound of my complete abdomen which also finds everything OK. Since the last one year i've lost about 15kilos. This was acheived by regular jogging/running on a tread mill ..approximately 10kms five to six days a week. Could it also be possible that i have some sort of digestive disorder???

Yes it could be a digestive disorder, or it could be you have a hip pointer, or it could be your hip is out of place, or it could be that you have pinched a nerve in your back and your jogging irritates it. It also could mean you have degeneration of your hip and your joints are wearing thin, and in any case, a trained profession should be consulted about your particular disorder.

I have not seen many TRAINED PROFESSIONALS here on Yahoo Answers. But you know it is possible.

Sounds like it could be bursitis. I have it in both my shoulders. The fact that it's a dull pain and that you mentioned doing a repetitive activity (running on a treadmill) that worked that area of your body makes me strongly suspect bursitis. Check out the site listed below. Hope you can get some pain relief!

You need to talk with an orthopedic physician. Since you are running, you may have a problem with the hip joint or the tendons around it. Only a trained professional can find the problem. Good luck!
