You daytime nap should only be one hour. Your lack of sleep will not hurt the baby unless you take something for it. Don't do that. Learn some relaxation techniques. You can use them to relax at night and they will be beneficial when you are in labor. If fact, they will serve you well the rest of your life.

Accidents will happen, that is why they are called accidents. My daughter fell off my bed, not once but twice... I'm really NOT a bad mother. I promise!! Both times it was because I had to pee like a maniac... The first time, she was only 2 months old and magically started rolling... something I had not seen her do... The second time, I thought I had sufficient pillows around her, barricading her in the exact center of my queen bed... I'll be danged if that little critter didn't start crawling... BACKWARDS!! And off she went. She is/was totally fine. Thank goodness. Needless to say, she stays on the floor from now on. Crazy things will happen, and as your friend gets more comfortable with being a mom, she will realize that. She can only do the best that she can do. Don't expect miracles. I'm sure if her mom were still alive, there would be some pretty funny stories about her falling on her little head. Plus with all the post-pregnancy hormones... she is being too hard on herself. She just needs to take a deep breath... and relax. It will get better. Really!! :)

Your symptoms are completely normal. Different women are going to have different experiences with pregnancy. You should relax and do not stress. If it's possible for you to avoid taking naps during the day, that will help you. Try to keep active during the day if you are not on bed rest. You will be fine. Congratulations!!!

What helped me to sleep was 2 body pillows. One at my back and one to wrap my leg around in the front ( sleeping on side ) The room had to be cold for me to be able to fall asleep.

Reading usually did it for me but not something too stimulating. Read EVERYTHING cover to cover in the daily newspaper not just what you find interesting. In later weeks you'll find it's baby that will keep you up. Nothing you can do about that. After the baby is born, you'll NEVER sleep! Good Luck

Yes but it is due to the hormone imbalance.
You must try to sleep regular hours as otherwise, your child would have a tendancy to want to play at night.
get your habit into a routine and then it would help.

Not at all.... I haven't been getting much sleep throughout my pregnancy up to this point and I'm at 27 weeks. Every doctors visit turns out fine and my baby girl is still kicking... In my Opinion you should be fine.

Hi,when i was 24 pregnant with my daughter,i could not sleep.I went to the doctor one day,and i guess i had bags under my eyes,my doctor asked me if i had trouble sleeping.I told her yes,she gave me Bendryil (the little pink pill)It worked wonders.

your baby will sleep even if you are not.. dont try to make yourself sleep.. If you are not tired dont worry, if you are tired sleep.. My days and nights got all screwed up when I was pregnant. Unless you need to sleep because you work.. then I would talk to your doctor.. they can recommend something safe to do to help relax.
I watched info-mercials.. they made me sleepy! :)

yes it happened to me, and now with my second pregnancy it is happening again. what i do is have my husband to rub my feet or hair until i fall asleep, it works for me, i hope it works for you too. good luck
