The rule, as always, is to stay away from those that ask you to pay before you can get these surveys.

Legitimate market survey companies such as Pinecone Research recruit members based on demographic characteristics -- e.g. mothers of babies 0-12 years old -- and will send surveys of products and services targeting this demographic group. Pinecone Research, however, pays only $5 per survey -- you're definitely not going to be rich with that. They can give you anywhere from 1-5 at most surveys in a month.

Other companies simply ask you to answer as many research as possible, and you don't earn anything just the chance to win at a raffle (which I find lame).

They are legitimate, but the survey company's clients set limits on what criteria survey participants must meet, and if you don't meet all of them, they can't use you for that particular survey.

I participate in surveys from about 3 or 4 different companies, and they reward people in different ways. None of them provide cash for each and every survey. I've been actually cut a (small) check only 4 times in the 6-7 months I've been dong them, and these were all for surveys that included actually trying out a free sample of a product that was mailed to me.

Usually, you're rewarded with points that can eventually be redeemed for cash or prizes, or sometimes your reward is just being entered into a drawing or sweepstakes of some kind. You CANNOT make any serious money from online surveys. For me, the best reason to do it is to find out what new products may be appearing soon before anyone else hears of them.

Hello,
All surveys are not scams. I have been paid for filling surveys. Also as you said you wont be qualifying for lot of surveys, that can happen.
However over the time, if you study the pattern of questions you can understand which questions to answer (its a way to trick) and become eligible for the surveys.

When you enter your age group or geographical location are the ones your might want to make a good guessed answer. Yes, you can call that cheating, but it is a way to hit the mark and make money. :) Try it. it works!.

I have tried surveys in the past and it never worked out. I tried the mystery shopper and that was terrible too. And reading emails is just a waste of time. If you want a real income from real work then email me at JRoth@ameriplan.net. I am a mom of 4 and I am earning a great income from home and still a stay-at-home mom for my kids.

They are scams. Don't ever expect to receive the cash. At the very least they will sell your information to every spammer. If you give them your Paypal information they will rob your account.
