I was just on Myspace and they're informing peope that reason they can't see pictures is because of a new I. E bug. I tried following the instructions they had laid out but it wouldn't go through on the title page it says checking to see if you have the latest windows software. My computer is a windows 2000 so i don't have the new and latest things. I'm reading up on this and it's now saying it can crash your computer. What exactly happens when a computer crashes? Would I have to buy a restore disk it? How much do restore disks usually run? I'm totally worried now can anyone help?

Step by Step information to do:

Step 1:
Go to a webpage, click tools, internet options, clear history, delete files, delete cookies, click apply, click out

Step 2:
Go to a webpage, click tools, click reset web settings, click ok

Step 3:
Run an anti virus (I recommend Norton Anti Virus), delete anything that comes up

Step 4:
Run Ewido (www.ewido.com), delete anything that comes up

Step 5:
Run Ad Aware, delete anything that comes up

Step 6:
Run Spybot-Search and Destroy, delete anything that comes up

Step 7:
Restart your computer

Step 8:
Try to go on myspace.com again

Still problems?

Step 9:
Run your computer in safe mode, Click restore to an earlier date

Step 10:
Restore to a date before when the pictures were showing up

Step 11:
Reset computer in normal mode

Still problems?
Reinstall Windows ..
How to do this?

Step 12:
Turn on your computer, click F4, F10 (one of those will correspond to system restore) It will say at the bottom, Restore your whole system. May take about 30-45 minutes, and RISK: WILL DELETE ALL YOUR FILES! SAVE ON A DISK OR CD BEFORE YOU DO THIS!

easy way to dump temp files www.ccleaner.com ,-- fast free and no bullarkey (ie adware, spyware etc) also, most antiviruses offer a free online scan (p.s. norton has a very large back door that alows lots of trojans through, and other bad things) here is a short list of places you can go to get a free online scan (they dont fix it for you but then you'll know you are clean)

http://www.pandasoftware.com <--curently top of the line
http://www.mcafee.com
http://www.trendmicro.com

the spybot and ad aware are very good programs as well, so make sure tyou keep them when you are done with your cleaning.

if push comes to shove and you have to reformat make sure you have all your personal files saved. then there should have been a disk that came with your computer for a clean install of windows... if not maybe ask friends if they have a copy of windows 2000.

and dont click on anything about new bugs on myspace, they usualy give you the bug.

between my post and the first one you should be set

hope you get it fixed.
