Seems like the brake switch is either unplugged or not working. It is located on the pedal lever up under the dash. If it turns out that it is connected but won't work, you'll have to determine if it is the switch or a wire that is the cause. The best way to do this is to remove the switch and then bridge the wires in the harness. If the brake lights come on, then you have a faulty switch, if not, you have some wires to check.

test the brake light switch first under the dash at the pedal switch has two wires short the two wires with a paper clip bent will do brake lights light then pull the shifter, or if that fails look for the brake light fuse. Fuse blown try another same amperage.

there is a safety switch on it that prevents it from jumping out of park,,and you have to use the brake to de-activate it,,if the switch goes bad on it,,it wont come out of park,,at all,,and there is a fuse for it,,check and see if it has blown ,,if it has,,you should be able to get it to work ,,once the fuse is replaced on it,,i own a repair shop in Tennessee,,and i hope this helps you,,good luck with it.
