They are totally awe-inspiring, hard-assed Heavy Metal gods! They should be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!

They're very creative and don't follow the usual mainstream style. They're unusual, but that's what makes them so unique. Their guitar riffs are genius, drums are amazing, the melody of their songs are fantastic as well as catchy. I saw them live at Ozzfest and they stole the show. That's when I REALLY started to like them. Amazing. They are one talented band, and I'm sad to hear that I won't be hearing new music from them in a while, since they're going on hiatus.

I'm not a huge fan, though I like several of their songs. That said, I consider them to be THE leading edge in metal right now, at least among the groups that DON'T have cookie monster lyrics.
I consider BYOB to be the best metal song of the last few years.
Serge is sometimes kind of arrogant, which is unusual for a metal band, but...oh well.

They are one of the few modern rock bands to whom I actually listen. They combine intense thrash metal with quirky, unusual and occasionally gorgeous musical arrangmements which keep them from dwelling in genericism and mediocrity like the vast majority of their peers. Their ultra-leftist political lyrics often do come off as quite annoying and naive, but once you get past that, you'll find an amazing, fresh, creative and constantly artistically-growing heavy metal band.

they are an awesome studio band but they are horrible live. other than them sucking live i like em.
