I am hearing all sorts of things about the 22nd of August. I wont expand anymore...what have you heard or what does it mean to you? I honestly havent read a paper so I dont know what the fuss is about....please help explain.

August 22nd is the day the Iran's Pres. has stated he will give his response to the incentive package offered to Iran to give up its Nuclear Enrichment program from the USA, France, Great Briton, Germany and I believe Russia and China as well.
Iran has dragged its feet for months sense receiving the generous offer. During that time some have claimed that Iran has though its influence in the Gaza Strip, Iraq and, Lebanon created as much turmoil as possible. Iran has made many statements saying it has no intention of stopping its research and development of its nuclear program.
Lastly the date does seem to correspond to a date significant in the Muslim religion. If what I read is correct the 21st of August marks the date the Muslims belief that Mohammad flew across the sky in Chariot followed by large flash of light? This has lead some to speculate that Iran could have some big event planned on that day to shock the world.
Maybe they test a nuclear weapon or maybe they smile and say thank you for the incentives and agree to stop enriching uranium or maybe they try to start WWIII. Who knows.

There's a belief by a certain group of people (somewhere in the middle east) who think that August 22nd is the end of times.

August 22 is the date that the President of Iran gave the UN relative to wether or not they are going to abide by UN limits on their nuclear program. Alot of people are speculating that this date is of some significance because the Iranian president has already made it clear that he will not abide by the UN...some are saying that he has something up his sleeve on that date, and I may be wrong about this, but I think it may be some sort of Muslim holy day or something.

Watch Glenn Beck on CNN! He is counting it down! It is the end of the world due to some ancient Islamic calender.. so watch out for mayhem or not...

Yup, I heard that the world is going to end on that day. Which is very amusing to me, as it's my sister's birthday. Hahahaha... it's bull of course! How many times have you heard it'd be the end of the world!
