trying to build and Sports compact out of a Suzuki Aerio sedan.

Why? There was no "Sport" designed into the Suzuki Aerio. Economic it is! Sport it is not. Yours a five speed still no sport? Start with a 350z, Acura TSX or Mustang GT. Power equals Sportiness.
