I go to UT and good school like that looks at more things than just a GPA when deciding on whether or not to accept a student. They look at your extra curricular activities, community service, things like how have you made your community a better place and if you have done anything related to what your major (that counts more later though) 3.5 is good on a 4.0 scale, I would suggest the lower your GPA the more activities or community service you do, or have a job. It is becoming more important to be well-rounded when it comes to college applications. Anywho, hope this helped. Toodleloo

A 3.5 GPA is defiantly a very acceptable average to get into a great school. You defiantly don't have anything to worry about. I graduated with a 3.8 just a little higher but not much and was able to get grants and even a medical school scholarship because of my GPA. Keep up the good work and you will go far in life.

A 3.5 is a good GPA. Colleges look for high GPA's and 3.5 is high.

I think so. I got a 3.6 GPA in my freshmen year and i talked with my counselor when i was signing up for my sophomore class. she said that if i was going to college, and i said yes. she said a 3.5 or higer is good enough to get to a good college, but try and get into the 4.0 range.

3.5 is pretty good, some colledges like Cal for example will only except 4.00(a's). If you are planning to attend a public colledge then yes I would say a 3.5 is just fine.

Hun, a 3.5 means nothing if you can't spell college.
Keep trying. 3.5 is decent for most schools, but it's not going to get you into an exceptional one.

It's a good start but knowing how to spell will keep you from failing once you get in.
