DSL can be good or it can be just awful. I would recommend cable. But you are not interested in Cable.
Try DSL, make sure you can cancel it and there is no contract. Sometimes my DSL would work, other times it took 15-20 minutes to load a single page. It lasted less then a week.

DSL is many times faster and it likely will cost little more than you pay now. Check it out and you will never go back to dial up

considering that DSL is at least 20 times faster, if you are paying more than 10 bucks for dialup get rid of it! Chances are there is a DSL provider in your area with a 20 dollar package! Try Verizon...

DSL definitely.
Some of them can go up to 60 times faster than dial-up, and it won't disconnect if someone has to make a call.

Definitely DSL. It is in some cases even cheaper than dial-up and sooooooooooo much faster. AT&T if you purchase online is just $12.99. And you can use your phone and be on internet at same time.
Good Luck

DSL, definitely. Check out your local phone provider. They might bundle packages for Local, Long Distance and DSL.

Definately DSL. My mom has dial-up, and when she came overr to check out my PC, she switched over quicker than $#!*.
The only advantage to dial-up would be no annoying phone calls when you are on your PC!!!!
