guys, if it is methicillin SENSITIVE then you just use methicillin or the versions we have nowdays which are:
flucloxacillin
dicloxacillin
no need for vancomycin unless it is methicillin RESISTANT as in MRSA
flucloxacillin is better than cephazolin for MSSA

im assuming you mean the bacteria MRSA (methicillin resistant staph aureua), which is methicillin-resistant.
the drug of choice is vancomycin, which is a VERY POTENT antibiotic that can reach toxic levels very easily if not well controlled and monitored by a doctor. another antibiotic that you sometimes may see to treat more mild cases of MRSA is kefzol. but usually a doc will treat with vancomycin for a course of time, and maybe then start kefzol afterwards...and if the infection flares back up again then back on the vanco.

Depends on the location of the infection. S. aureus can be in your heart, your skin, your lungs, your GI tract, your kidneys, your bladder. Different drugs are better for different spots.
