I might not get a lot of people to agree, but I'll ask anyway...Is there a reason that men of every...?

Question

Men of every race, not necessarily ALL, but you can see men of just about every persuasion, don't have a problem with dating women that are fair-skinned, light colored hair, and have light colored or blue eyes? Has that been programmed into men's mind?.. a woman who falls into that category as opposed to someone of a darker complexion, dark eyes, hair, etc. is considered desireable? I guess what I'm trying to say is are most men, not just Black men, color-struck?

I have always accepted people, especially women for who they are. Me personally, I prefer dark skinned women, but I have dated fair skinned women in the past and I prefer dark brown eyes. However, you need not concern yourself with this nubian queen because I am sure God has that special someone for you. That person who is going to love and appreciate you for the wonderful woman you are. Yes, in the beginning, I do believe there were preconceived notions about not only women, but also light skinned men. Come on now. Let's be fair about this. Back in the day it was hard for a dark skinned brother to get a woman because all the sisters wanted light skinned yellow boys. You know I am telling the truth. Let's keep it real. However, I have to admit that over the past few years things have seem to taken a turn. Pierre, the comedian, who is a light skinned man, commented that "Us light-skinned brothers are making a comeback." LOL. You still have people that are color struck but all in all I think people and times are changing. Peace and God bless.

Every man is different...you just have to either continue searching for your mr. right or continue thinking there is some under cover conspiracy conserning complexion. I'm sure some men do have a complex and maybe I am naive because I am light skin, but only my dark skin friends talk to me about complexion...its weird. About it being programmed...most of the top women or hottest women or whatever they're classed as...are light skin. ~strange~ As a woman I can see beauty in every complexion...people are so shallow sometimes...but yea like I said...every guy is different and you must just be meeting the wrong guys. I always thought light skin black guys loved dark skin black girls because their complexions are opposite...what u think?

Not really. I am blond hair/blue eyes, but have always prefered brunettes (with dark eyes). Seriously, I think each person is different, to say "all men like blonds" sounds as ridiculous as saying "all women like ".

I would bet that a vast majority of men in America would date anyone of any race, so long as the had chemistry.

Unfortunately for many of them, this is their ticket into the world of being accepted as having made it. Not necessarily financially or class, but that they believe that they now count for something because they are dating someone white, or half white or pretty close to it. This is no joke, some of these men have such low esteem regarding their own races that they can only feel whole if someone like that shows an interest in him or dates him.

I am a man with blue eyes, light complexion, and sandy blonde hair. I prefer a female with dark eyes, olive complexion, and dark brown to black hair. The fact is, I never desired to go after the woman you described; they are the untouchables.

I've noticed the same thing and it really bugs me. I'm white but have dark brown hair and brown eyes. Most of my life I was passed over by the guys while they flocked to the blond haired blue eyed girls. At least I've found me a guy who isn't interested in girls like that. I married him 10 years ago and it's been nice.
Nothing like winning out over those girls sometimes ya know?

I went to a festival yesterday in my city for latino people, with my best frien who is a guy, and he mentioned to me that if he had his pick of any nationality in the world of someone to date, he would pick a latino. So, not every guy thinks the way you said. Maybe you just need to meet some more decent people, more accepting people. I don't know, but my friend proves the point that not all guys are racist pigs, although I know alot are, there are some good guys out there, somewhere, I think.....

Its true, you can thank the media for that. They pump into us the light skin, humans are at the top of the food chain. Even Christ himself is showed to be white so to speak. White or light is just look on as pure were darker or black is look on as bad, dirty. You can see it in all ways in society.
