well there is Super mario world for the Super NES.
then there is Yoshi Cookie for the NES.
then there is Super mario world 2: Yoshi island for the Super NES.
I think there is a sequel to yoshi island as well in the Super NES.
There is a yoshi derby in Super mario Rpg: Legend of the seven stars for the Super NES
Yoshi is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. for N64.
and also a playable character in...errr.......
Mario Golf and Mario Tennis for the N64
Super Mario Baseball, Mario Power Tennis, and Super Mario Striker for Gamecube.
Mario can ride on Yoshis on Super Mario Sushine for Gamecube.
And Yoshi is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. melee for Gamecube.
There may be much more that I may had missed though.

There is Super Mario Brothers 2 for Super Nintendo where you play as Yoshi the whole game and this was released on the Game Boy Advance as Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island .

Yoshi is on the game Super Mario World for the original Nintendo game system that came out in like 1985. The system shouldn't cost very much. You can probably find one on eBay. My boyfriend just bought one for 50 bucks that came with a ton of games.

I think Yoshi's first appearance was on Super Mario World on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System.
Go look on ebay, I'm sure you'll find a whole slew of fun stuff.

There are 2 yoshi games that I know of. Ones Yoshi's Story for the N64 and the others Yoshi's Island for the Gameboy Advance. Both of these have yoshi as the main character and not an ally. =)
