Here is a few for you...

-Dragon Quest 7 Awesome game, takes people around 90 hours to beat, so you get your moneys worth

-Grandia 3 The story sucks in the beginning, but picks up. The battle system is probably the most fluid i have ever seen.

Of course Final Fantasy X

Star Ocean: Til the end of time it is another one that starts out slow but then you cant put the controler down.

These are all Square Enix Games

suikoden games are ok...

Xenosaga series is great.

on pc I played Gulid Wars, never bought Guild Wars factions...
That game is great because you never pay monthly membership, you just buy the game

Final Fantasy X and X-2 are always popular. Try Suikoden, .Hack, the Dragon Quest series, Star Ocean, Summoner, Wild Arms, and Xenosaga.

unfortunately, the last system that made a GOOD rpg was the SNES. games included SoM, SoE, FFII (IV), FFIII (VI), MarioRPG, IoG, EB, etc.

the playstation has tried to make a few good ones, and failed, producing, instead, such mediocre titles as FFVII, VIII, IX, FFT, LoD, LoM, etc.. people that DON'T know a good rpg will claim that the games i listed were great. it's ok. they don't know any better

the PS2 made FFX and X-2, but since those both were horrible in comparison to the first six final fantasies, i won't count them. they are nothing more than a let down. people that don't know good rpgs will say those are both good. all other attempts were less than noteworthy.

i know nothing about PC games though

Aside from Kingdom Hearts and final fantasy on the PS2 I'd recommend the .hack series, Star Ocean III and Dark Cloud2, they're all great RPG's.

For me, Final Fantasy series is the first choice. How about Tales series? Tales of The Abyss, Tales of Lagendia and so on. Suikoden series also impressive. Moreover, shining series and dragon quest series. These are PS 2 game. Quite famous.

Check here http://bit.ly/1ohgqwv if you want to get for free: Warcraft III Reign of Chaos

You will have to lead your armies to victory while you build an impenetrable fortress to defend against enemies. There are four races available: Orcs, Humans, the Undead and Night Elves.
For me, it's the best game ever.
