Do NOT attempt to do anything with the airbag yourself. Get the car checked at the dealer - they know the system best and can diagnose your problem quickly when you tell them what you have done and what the result has been. I suspect you'll need a clock spring assembly but this should not be diagnosed by anyone other than a certified technician. An airbag is an extremely dangerous piece apparatus to be guessing at the problem. Ask teh service advisor or the service manager how much time they allow for diagnostics on air bag systems - they have a guide that will provide an estimate for this (I think it's .6 hrs on those cars but I haven't worked at Ford for three years now). Good luck

If the problem happend right after you changed the turn signal switch, either the clock spring in the steering wheel is damaged or improperly installed, or the airbag is not connected correctly.

Recheck your work!!!

the air bag wire may not have been hooked back up,,if it wasn't ,,this will cause it to do that also a bad sensor for the air bag system,,will do this,,but if it was OK before ,,you probably just need to hook the wire back up on it,,then take the battery cable off from It,,for a few seconds,,and replace it,,this should clear the trouble code from it,,good luck with it,,i hope this helps.

not unless you want a face full of airbag, sounds like you may have damage the clock switch for the airbag.

Did you forget to plug the airbag back in?

sounds like an electrical problem. When they did the work, they probably disconnected the air bag sensor and did not re-set it when they reconnected it-- take it back-- they have to do the work right
