im working on my 9o hp force motor the manaul says to check the rectifier but i dont know where it is located?

what does the rectifieer look like how many wires go to it where is it located is there another name for rectifier

nope and its 1/2 the size of a pack of smokes, usually black only about four wires going to it and i think on the drivers side of the block or the right hand side standing behind it looking at it
