I don't have a ton of money, but I have a ton of interests. I'm a senior in college now, having majored in Sociology and Philosophy. I want to study social work or psychology at the graduate level, but I also have a huge interest in script writing that I would love to study at the grad level as well.

Do I have to choose? Can I enroll in two different programs at once and pursue both?

If a university allows you to do so (and I doubt many will, because your fields are so very different), you will most likely have to pursue each degree only part-time.

A good grad program has required courses, and is very demanding. Pursuing two degrees at once would cripple a student in many ways. Here are some of the difficulties you would encounter:

1) Funding (tuition remission and stipends) is only awarded to students who are in the program full-time. In return, they are often expected to act as teaching or research assistants. So if you were a part-time student, departments would not have the option of funding you.

2) Graduate programs have high expectations of students, both in terms of workload, and in terms of commitment to the field. Your professors would see you as a dilettante if you were not fully committed to one field of study.

3) Class meeting times. What if an essential seminar in one discipline meets at the same time as an essential seminar in the other? Grad programs have course requirements, and sometimes certain courses must be taken in certain semesters, without exception.

My advice: decide what you love, and follow that passion. Multiple interests demonstrate that you are gifted in many areas, but in academia, success hinges on specialization.

NOTE: This does not, obviously, apply to programs designed to be combined degrees (like MDiv/MSW, or MSW/MPA, etc.).

a respected draw close's software will probable run between 36 and 40 2 credit. on condition that finished-time prestige is oftentimes seen to be 9 credit (3 classes) in protecting with semester, you may want to be not user-friendly-pressed to finish 2 draw close's stages concurrently interior a lifelike era of time. As for doing one draw close's degree followed via the different, it truly is surely a danger. even if the fee for doing 2 classes as against you'd be prohibitive. enable me propose a third option, it truly is to stumble on a level software alongside with cultural anthropology, the position you may want to benefit the heritage of a technologies or the impression of technological awareness on a social inhabitants over the years. Anthropology or Sociology classes might want to provide you the danger to combine your pursuits into one degree software. One social gathering i recognize of is the STS software at MIT. The SHASS (college of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences) web page of the MIT internet web site has information about this technique. i'm not asserting you want to adhere to to MIT, even if it truly is an social gathering of one in each and every of those software that could want to interest you.

I am currently pursuing an MBA and MS Criminal Justice at the same time. It is possible, but it is tough.
