there have been so many versions, localized, commercialized, computerized. I just saw a news story about the newest version in England that doesn't even have money, its all done using little tiny fake visa debit cards
I also read about a new Monopoly Here and Now edition with all updated prices, chance and community chest cards, and the railroads are being replaced by airports. Craziness

What exactly do you mean by a sequel? Biopoly?
There have been lots of copy cat games; you can buy "monopoly" style games for many cities and even a lot of small towns.

They have one it was called Advance to Boardwalk. It just wasn't as good as Monopoly so they just have made hundreds of different editions of Monopoly because sometimes you just can't make a good sequel.
