I just want to know in the history of the US if there's been ANY important Hispanic(/Latin) people.

Yes absolutely!

Just look at the names, Roberto Clemente, Pedro Martinez, Albert Pujols, David Ortiz, Alex Rodgriguez, Manny Ramirez. The list goes on forever!

Alberto Gonzalez, the current Attorney General of the US is the highest ranking hispanic I'm aware of. I like George Lopez too.
Good question though, considering hispanics are the largest minority in the US, where is the representation?

Important? Like, say, the Attorney General of the United States? The current attorney general's name is "Alberto Gonzales". He's hispanic.

well the only hispanic i know of is the mayor of LA...and he is doing more to help LA than the mayor we have :(
