Hezbollah of curse

2006-08-16 15:23:57 · answer #1 · answered by moh 2 · 1 1

The verdict is still out.

If the Lebanese government and the UN can use conflict this to finally disarm Hezbollah, and to prevent further terrorist attacks against Israel, then Israel achieved its objective.

On the other hand, if the Lebanese government cannot stop Hezbollah from attacking Israel, and this respite just allows Hezbollah to rearm and regroup before returning to its terrorist ways, then Hezbollah won.

The real question is, are we going to have to go through this all again in a few years, like we did 6 and 10 and 18 years ago? Or is the Lebanese government finally going to disarm Hezbollah.

Y'know, the tragic part in all of this is that regardless of who else may have won, it is the Lebanese people who lost.

No one won. true Hezbollah looks like the little guy that stood up to the bully, but I am sure even after Israel pulls out of Lebanon completely the gorillas will continue to bomb, kidnap and execute many Jewish people.
Israel is to be praised for their efforts at warning the Lebanese people before bombing each area. You can bet your sweet pe tutie that Hezbollah didn't warn anyone.
And before you draw any conclusions ... no I am not Jewish. I am a Christian

Hezbollah.

Hezbollah kidnapped 2 Israeli soldiers. Israel launched an offensive to get their soldiers back. The war is over. Israel is forced to give up its gains made during the war. Hezbollah still has the 2 Israeli soldiers.

Hezbollah.

Neither, but Hezbollah has the world's sympathy [excluding Jews, of course]. Israel just looks like a bully right now.

We don't know yet, and it was premature of Bush to declare Israel the winner. I'm waiting for him to touch down in his fighter plane and pilot costume under the "Mission Accomplished" Banner.
