Good and evil have been fighting for dominance in man's soul ever since Adam and Eve ate from the tree of knowledge. Eventually good will win as man evolves back to a state of grace. Until then, the struggle will continue and, at times, burn the entire world. That's the price we pay for not putting evil people to the sword the very moment we identify them.
Note that there has NEVER been moral equivalence in any war. One side has always been evil.

Many think war is for the resourses
or it's over the money
or over the land
BUT what is common to all this?
THE PEOPLE
You need people to process resourses
you need people to spend money
you need people to occupy and live on land
Open your mind there is a series called 'WHY WE FIGHT" 10 vhs tapes of war. The last tape surprisingly enough covers the connection of war to the occult. Then one sees That it has always been about PEOPLE Human beings

The greatest reason I can see is religion. It is the strongest deciding factor in devoted people's lives, and plenty of people are willing to die for their spiritual beliefs.
