What exactly do you think this would do to your baby?

God help that baby when she's born. If I were you, I'd stop worrying about swallowing gum and go to Barnes & Noble and get a BUNCH of parenting books. Happy reading.

The gum is in your stomach and will pass through your small intestine, large intestine, and out of your body. The baby is in your uterus. They will not have any contact with each other and gum is not poisonous so the baby will not be affected at all.

Oh. My. God.

The answer is hell no. The child will just like bubble gum a lot when it's older. That's normal anyway. Hardy har har.

Thanks for the 2 points.

Quick! Swallow a spoonful of peanutbutter so the gum doesn't get stuck in the baby's hair!

Are you for real?! What kind of question is that? The gum will be digested. Well it's too late to keep you from being a mom now!

No, it won't. I've swallowed enough gum in my lifetime to clog the Panama Canal and somehow I'm still here.

probably, worst case scenario is that the gum gets stucked in the umbrellical cord, then the baby can't get food, and starves to death in the womb, now that's just my crazy mind making up stuff after answering for hours on this site.
