you don't 'turn' emo.
it was a type of music turned stereotype.
if you want the fashion, get tight pants, tight band shirts, hoodies, etc. (all tight), and yes, van's slip-ons.
hair, side bangs, but dying it was never really a part of 'emo'.
some 'emo' kids paint their nails, and get thick rimmed glasses.
to act 'emo' just listen to a bunch of hardcore music and depressing stuff.
bisexuality is NOT a trait of 'emo' kids. it's a bad bad stereotype, that was never really part of the stereotype. it's just that bi kids seem to be more fem. but that's just me. most of the 'emo' kids i know are straight.
furthermore, emo is not SOOOOO LAST YEAR. it's evolved into 'scene', and it blended with hardxcore some. people just call it something else.
i promise, i'm not taking shots at 'emo' kids, cause a lot of kids that people call emo are sort of my friends. i'm just giving you the 'emo' traits.

ew emo is soooo last year. no one is emo anymore. and emo hardly exists as clique anymore.. oh and btw since ur a guy, if u turn emo ur gonna be made fun of and get beat up... other guys hate emo guys

hun, don't turn your self into anything. emo didn't even have a name until last year. all it is is music. if you like the music fine, but don't catagorize your self to fit into high school, you'll just make it harder for your self. trust me, i know. just loat through high school and try out different groups, until you find a group that you don't have to forct to like you. when you find the right click to hang out in you'll know, because you'll forget that everyone else dresses like this, or everyone else talks like that. just be you sweetie and you'll find that high school wont be even a fraction as bad as middle school. just have fun being you and trying new things.

I'm not sure. But, I am turning emo and my parents are getting mad at me : ( I died my hair black and started wearing a little bit of black. And I'm hanging out with emo kids. So, yeah. Wanna chat?

When I was in high school... if you had to "turn" yourself into something that you weren't, you were called a POSER! ... and no one likes a poser.
