No, only if you are hunting. You may have to put up signs on your property warning that you are shooting. I wish I could practice in my yard but we have too many close neighbors. Depending on the bow you are shooting any stray arrows can go quite far so you will need a large sturdy back stop. Also they can follow some unlikely trajectories when a mistake is made. No matter how good you are that can happen! Check your town's phone book or ask around about local indoor courses. Some places even have virtual target screens.Have fun!!

Beyond checking your local police for safety issues no. Only firearms require licensing and then not all firearms in all areas will require a license.

Typically handguns require a license where in some states a rifle for hunting may not.

Ask your local police they can most likely refer you to an archery expert to ensure you setup your range for practice properly as well. Plus having them be aware will make it easier if a neighbor suddenly calls to report a strange person in your area with a Bow and arrows.

you dont need a license to own a bow and arrow. But if your going to shoot them in your backyard, i would check you city rules about that. In my town you cant use them in city limits unless its a an certified archery range. Check into it unless you like getting issued tickets from the cops.

USA? Depends on your State and local laws. Phone the police dept and ask them. (since this is now the National Security State, use a pay phone, limit your call to 15 seconds and wipe off fingerprints. Beware of security cameras)

On your own property, no problem, unless a neighbor calls the cops saying you are posing a threat to them, maybe it will go over the fence.

Face it man, somehow our public servants got the idea that the proper state of all Americans is to be disarmed and helpless. Our servants are revolting, usurping power.

Generally not . but you should be goining to a range that has a backstop in case you miss. Don't want to be hitting your neighbors.Just need a license if you are hunting game during the Bow season.

Few if any jurisdictions require a license, yet you may examine to your specific united states/state. in case you like recurve bows, i can propose the "Grizzly" style from Fred undergo Archery. i offered mine at Cabela's and it extremely is various relaxing to shoot with. seems exceedingly precise and strong to me, although i'm fairly of a amateur nonetheless.

It depends on what your state says about it, so check with the Fish and Game Department. They usually have a website, but ideally you should have a hunting permit for archery, just to cover your butt.
