Monster , Yahoo Hotjobs, Careerbuilder are some of the largest job boards, where you can apply for jobs and upload your resume. Since Craigslist, allows free job postings, many smaller companies post their vacancies on this online classifieds website. You can also search for jobs from multiple websites using aggregators like SimplyHired and Indeed. Referrals are also becoming a increasingly popular way to get hired.

I got my job through Monster.Com. Just watch out for the replies asking you to fill out applications in emails that comes directly to you through the links. There are alot of scams that go out and that personal information is not going to an employer but rather to capture your name, address, social security number, mother's maiden name, etc. You get the idea!!! Don't reply with personal data... call to verify where it's going before submitting information.

For local job searches, www.craigslist.com is the up and coming place to look. This holds true in California, at any rate.
