Man & woman are married to separate partners. They met later and both professed that they truly love one another. Later during their relationship, woman is bothered by her conscience and wanted to stop the relationship.
Question 1. Which controls human conscience, mind or heart?
Question 2. If bothered by conscience, does it mean that the "professed true love" of the woman is gone?

It takes both the mind and heart to control the conscience. The mind acts on what we've learned in the way of right from wrong, but the heart gives it creedence and pushes you to do what is right from the emotional aspect.
It doesn't necessarily mean the professed love is gone. It may just mean that her conscience has gotten the better of her and it was time to do what was right. Affairs are wrong, no matter how strong the love or attraction...we all know that. It's in our minds. It's what we are taught. If her husband isn't a bad guy, has done nothing wrong to deserve such a betrayal, well, then her emotions took over and played the guilt card. Therefore she ended it.
