Dear friend,
IT IS A MYTH!!!
I don't know why so many people says so! It seems nobody here has some 101 medical knowledge.
You see, your facial hair is genetic and is not because the razor!
But if you pull the hair it hurts and make your hair weaker. But if you shave it you don't make it thicker or help it to grow!
Think it is like your nails. You just cut it.
The reasons the hair of the head started to fall are many but most of them age, gender, genetics, stress and nutrition. If shaving was the answer you think Calv people wouldn't try it before?!
Know that the number of hair thread is also fixed. It depends of the hair's root. These are spread in your body. This spread is ruled by genetic. If you shave some place in your body... you wont change the number of hair's roots! So there is no possibility of making more unless transplant (that is a used technique).
Laser treatment kills the hair's roots and waxing hurts it and make it weaker. That's all!
PLEASE PEOPLE READ BEFORE ANSWER.

No, this is not true. It might LOOK true if you are young and have begun shaving your face (or anywhere, for that matter), simply because as you grow and mature your secondary sex characteristics (like facial/body hair, muscle mass, genitals, etc.) become more visible and pronounced. So as you advance through adolescence or youth your facial and body hair will get a bit thicker and grow a little faster. But that would happen anyway, even if you never shaved.

No, easily no longer. it is purely an previous-better halves' tale. some human beings think of their hair is thicker, yet what's unquestionably happening it that as quickly as you shave hair off, you create a 'blunt end' on the hair on the exterior of the exterior. whilst it grows slightly, you notice and sense all of those blunt ends. whilst hair is left to strengthen with out shaving it, the ends sort of taper to a superb component, and would seem finer, a minimum of on the information. there is no longer something you're able to do to the exterior of a hair that would exchange the sturcutre of ways it grows from in the follicle. it relatively is no longer biologically a threat. in case you opt for to have the hair seem thinner (over the years), I advise waxing. Ripping the hair out with the aid of the roots progressively kills off the skill for it to strengthen. women persons who wax their legs/underarms regulary will strengthen much less hair over the years.

No... hair grows at a fairly standard rate, 24 hours a day. Whether you shave once a day or once a week, it is still going to grow at the same rate.
Hair is just like nails. If you cut your fingernails every day, will they grow faster? Will thicker nails grow if you cut them every day? Of course not.

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.
Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful. Electrolysis and laser hair removal are "permanent" hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional,
otherwise your skin could be damaged. A review of the various hair removal methods is available at

If it was true, the people who manufacture hair growth pills and tonics would have to go out of business.
