Sounds like you need to adjust the latch up or down so the "striker" Hood catch loop pushes the hook around and latches. Or something you did not notice is bent like the hood hinges, Hood itself or the latch loop pushed into the hood from slamming.

Mounted to the radiator is the latch assembly.

Loosen the four bolts that hold the latch in place and slide it up about 3\8" and tighten the bolts snugly.

Try the hood again.

Reajust as necessary.
This may take some time...trial and error.

Then, tighten them good.

To align the latch bar on the hood, do the same thing.

wel i would guess that the spring in the latch is either worn out orsomehow rusted over or maybe the whole thing need a little lubrication, open up the hood and wiggle the latch and use your judgment also look at what the latch latches to and see if it's worn out wichis another probability

I have the same problem. Rivera - did you find a way to open the hood? I can get to the latch under the hood, but moving it does nothing. It seems to be stuck on something.

try and open the trunk, stand on your head and what everyone else said above because yes its either out of alignment or your hood latch handle is still extended a little and not letting it latch correctly

Adjust those hood stops lower, and like another person said, spray some lube on that second catch. Makes it easier to pop the hood too.
