If it were up to us the every day people we could probably do that but with the people running our country and the ones running the others we the people don't stand a chance of getting our voices heard. Since mankind has been keeping records, and that goes way back, there has only been 2 days of total peace in the world.

-21st September is the UN International Day of World Peace. Peace One Day.
There are millions of us round the world committed to making that one day work- and we aren't succeeding.....
Maybe if everyone who reads these answers networked the idea and bombarded politicians, local war ( not anti-war) activists etc we could all make a real difference- one day at a time.
Start being an activist for peace, make a commitment to peace on www.peaceoneday.org. You won't regret it.

I hate war too, and I would rather live in peace. However, reality dictates that those who would use force against the peaceful must not be allowed to do so. The only way to do that, is to use force against force to keep the peace. Crazy isn't it?

If we kill all the bad guys, we'll get peace, right?
If we let them rule the world, what's going to happen to freedom and democracy?
It sounds good on paper or on a banner. Real life is more complicated than that

"Peace is not an absence of violence but a presence of justice."
Until all the warring people feel justice has been served, there will never be peace. Sorry, I hate war too.

hi Realtasy, The time period "Holy conflict" predates Islam. It grow to be coined to envision with the campaigns run by technique of the Crusaders for which the perfect Pope apologized publicly to the international. The Arabic translation of the time period "Holy conflict" might want to ascertain as "Harb-ul-Qudsi", and also you may examine the Quran the front to back and back to the front, you gained't discover even one factor out of the time period there, it really is because, there is no longer something "HOLY" about conflict which consists of Killing and Mayhem, for this reason the Quran has no factor out of Holy conflict everywhere. With understand to what you you spot in the international on the prompt, I recommend to you that,in case you eliminate the "HYPOCRISY and DOUBLE criteria" from international Politics you may discover cases of conflict and Terrorism come to an rather potential unmarried verify.

no, i think wars are really the only way to get to peace. Like the War on Terrorism right now.We are fighting, but it's to stop violence in the future. Plus, you can't negociate everything. There always going to be a time when two groups of people disagree and they can't negociate.
