she has been calling him bambi since the first episode but there has been no reason to why?

Have you ever watch Bambi? He starts out being unsure of himself and ends up king. It you think of JD in that sense you will understand.

Its probably why Dr. Cox calls Elliott "Barbie"-to mess with him God, I miss that show!!!!
