I have been to several talent shows, and I must say that slow songs are not a big hit. I would suggest that you sing something that is no longer than four minutes, something that makes people want to taptheir feet when they hear the music.
Unfortunately, I can't think of any songs that fit the description at the moment (I'm a classical music person, so I don't know too much about popular music), but when you get some suggestions, just make sure that they're not too long or too slow.
