I don't think there is one. had the same washer for 20 years and never cleaned one you'll have to check your user guide

There is no filter on a washing machine. If your problem is low water pressure, there may be a screen on the water inlet valve that might be clogged or corroded. To find out if thats the case then simply turn off your cold & hot water, unscrew the hoses> at the back of the washer,

Most washers do not have a filter and some are hidden for whatever reason. If you would tell us what make washer you are asking about you may get a proper answer.

Please please do not remove the filter screens from the inlet valve as one person has suggested. You run a great risk of letting small particles of dirt get into the valve and then the water will not shut off causing the water to overflow and flood your laundry area.

I just looked up "Care & Cleaning" in my Washer's Instruction Manual [Maytag]. It did not mention a filter...

I trust "ApplianceGuy" above knows what he's talking about. :)
