I need to have other activities, performances, other stuff to attract the crowd to come and make the event more entertaining. Any ideas?

It really depends on thee theme of the concert.
Is it a concert for a cause(to raise awareness of some issue)or is it just a fun thing?
What is the common thread between the various groups performing, type of music,politics,a cause?(Say,if you got a good enough cause ask U2 to perform!)
Anyway,once you think of the common thread between the groups,figure out th bond between the audience and the performers.
Good food is always a crowd pleaser.
There are so many variables you should give more info for better suggestions

First : make sure you have all the technical equipment - lighting, speakersystems etc. Make sure you have a good person to do your lighting. Get some creative people to decorate your venue and make some A4 handouts to advertise it. Go to your local drama club and have them put on a short thingie or find some really good young bands and performers to draw the crowd.. Good luck
