Find it. Carry it outside. It's bad luck to step on and kill a cricket.

through them in the freezer. most insects will stand such coldness, and when you take them out and let them unthaw, there is a good chance they will be in perfect noisey condition when the come out of cryo-state. and they always say crickets tell you the temperature, the higher the temp, the more they chirp per minute. perhaps put them in front of the air conditioner? if this is a yard problem, just water the lawn real well or put some ice in the wood chipper while the chipper is in reverse, thus shooting ice shardes over the lawn. or of course, just sprinkle some toxic fly killing powder over the lawn!

lol Well, you can't the sound is a mating call used with the tiny hairs located on the legs of the insect, they also use fast, vibrating tech. with their wings. I do not suggest you seek it out and peal the legs and wings off either- Plus, Chinese cultures say that a cricket is and brings good luck and fortune-you don't wanna curse that!?

get a frog to remove the one's that are in your house, and in the future (if you buy these for food for a reptile) buy 3/4 size one's. They are the largest size cricket that won't make any noise. If you have a big reptile, just throw a few extra in!

crickets make their sounds with the longest hind legs by rubbing them each other, you can just kill the cricket or tune in with them

find that sucker and use him for bait. If you have a bunch of them as food for a reptile move them near somewhere chilly and they shut up.
