pot rugal is a mystical country for dope smokers
how ever Portugal ,
The Algarve in the south is poor ,but full of tourism and beautifully beaches ,thousands of bars restaurants ,sardines ,wine is cheaper than water.
the hills behind Loule ,is like stepping back in time and there are many examples of the Moorish occupancy ,such as watch towers ,aqueducts and building style.and the race of the inhabitants ,who look more like Arabs than Portuguese.and things are relatively cheap
the North is very rich ,wine growing country well kept roads ,beautifully towns ,chateaux, farmlands .higher prices, and the people are olive colored and sleek much taller than the Algarvians.very picturesk fishing towns and harbors

Well, yes, but it's not the best place in Europe. It does have loads of colonial spirit, it's fairly cheap (although almost everybody will try to cheat on you, especially in touristy places which are overpriced already), food is good (if you like meat), nature is nice (especially Madeira, nature there is amazing), there are many places to party and it's quite good for shopping. People are friendly, but also opportunistic - if they can get something out of you, they will. Basically, Portugal is more or less like poor version of Spain. It's worth a visit, you will have fun, but don't move there!
