when you are really "in" to a tv show and then the stupid news people keep interupting it because of a thunderstorm thats all the way on the other side of the state. i dont even want my shows interupted if the storm is where i live i can look outside and see that there is a storm!! i think they should only cut into the shows if its a deadly storm not just a little bit of thunder and lightning.

Even worse - when you DVR something and there is a weasther alert that records. So a week later you're watching a rerun of House and it is interrupted by a tornado in another area code!

I think if people wanted to know the weather, they wouldn't be watching movies, they would be watching the weather channel. After all, most TVs have the option to either watch picture in picture or the recall feature to flick back and forth. You are right, it is maddening. Newsflashes are the same. Put them on the newschannels.

it is i mean they should only broadcast thunderstorms that are deadly, what can a little wind or a bit of light 40 miles away from ur house gonna' do to you?
