Not a man, but I think it is because they are more dominant. My guy likes it too, I don't. I honestly don't get much satisfaction out of it. Men go deeper in misenary style, NOT doggy style!

I am not a man but I know my husband loves that position. So do I. You can go deeper that way. Plus he has a butt thing and being able to see it right there is a huge turn on for him.

Maximum penetration - and the man has total control.

My husband & love doggie style!!!!! :>) I think that it gives you maximum penetration & it feels so F****** Great!!!!!!
But you & your partner should try different positions & go with what works for you.

it isn't my favorite...but i'm a virgin so what do i know...i imagine that guys can have a wider range of motion and can fart and not worry about it (if it's quiet) and if he's self conscious about his image then there's another plus
