im a HUGE TRUE green day fan and i would like to know who else is aswell. and if you are, tell me why you like them so much and how you became a fan alright???

I am but I am way, way older. Green Day appeals to all generations. I think each member of the band has real personality and I think they are very tight with each other.
Their political songs appeal to me and I am really glad to hear that voice coming out of the U.S.
Musically, I find Billy Joe has a great, melodic rough-rock voice. and I love the bass line in the songs. There is tremendous energy in their music.
It just makes me laugh to hear a band like that called "punk". Green Day just isn't. But they are truly great and deserve a place in music history. They will be on "best lists" in twenty years.

Alright, I'm going to be completely honest. I didn't listen to Green Day until I heard "American Idiot". Ok now don't get mad. But after listening to it, I had to go out and buy every other cd they made. So now I have ALL of them and love each and every one of them. They are my addiction. A lot of their songs really hit home for me. They also aren't afraid to put out music that criticizes stuff in the world. They aren't afraid to be different and they don't give a s*** if people like them or not. They just do it for the love of the music. That's why they rock my socks and I admire them all.

Sorry but you probably don't want to see this but I miss the old green day before they started to win grammys. Now they don't know what they are talking about when it comes to politics. They should just stick to their old original sound.

Never heard them sing, but I know someone in Canada whose inspired and marketed by Green Day.

do u have the time to listen to me whine??? good! OK, so I'm obsessed with green day! i heard the song boulevard of broken dreams on the radio & loved it, so i bought american idiot and it ROCKS!!!! after that i got the rest of their CDs. im listening to 'king for a day' (debatably their best work) right now. it pisses me off so much when people say they sold out. any musicion that wanted to be able to make a living off their music would have to switch to a bigger label. i also hate when prepps say they love green day when they only frikin heard one or two songs!!! anyone who has heard 'wake me up when september ends' but not 'why do u want him', or at least 'welcome to paradise' and still calls themselves a fan must die!!! i can't wait till they go on tour again! i wanna see them in concert sooooooooo bad!!!! have u ever seen them in concert? if so, i hate u!:) did u see bullet in a bible??? BILLIE JOE IS SOOOOOOOOOO HOT!!!!!! they arent afraid to be honest. i think punk bands got a little sceard to be honest when writing political songs after 9/11, but with american idiot, they broke the ice. punk bands gotta be honest... or else their not really punk.... i can relate to their songs.

I like their music. I have been a fan since 1994. "Dookie" when they released that album I became a fan.
