Yes you can make all the copies you want. How clear they'll be depends on the quality of the original picture and the quality of the scanning.

Believe it or not, I saw a 57k (yes 'k' NOT megabyte!) jpg printed at 8x10 inches and you could hardly see jaggies. It looked good!

The MAIN difference is how it is printed. I would go to the newest store around to get a print from the newest Fuji or Kodak film printer. Ask if the machine is only a couple of years old or newer.

It will produce a picture on paper used for regular film prints and will last as long as a regular film print.

Try getting one printed at each of a couple of places like the newest giant Walmart, Target or BIG grocery store. The machine makes a BIG difference.

As others said, size matters so bigger is better. Also, floppies are VERY unreliable so take 2-3 copies of each picture (to save trips back) and try to get the picture up to the 1.44 megabyte size so one picture to a floppy (CD is better and they might not take floppies). You can get a NICE 8x10 with the good equipment with a 1.4 meg jpg file.

PS. On the scanning part, if you scanned a photograph that is glossy, it is the best. Matte finishes and printed materials like magazines make what is called a moire pattern.

If you see a pattern in the final print or on the screen before you print, look up moire to see how to lighten the effects. It is usually made by an interference resulting from the relationship of the scan resolution to the printed resolution and how many pixels (or dots) are used to simulate a color to the naked eye.

Yes you can make as many copies as you want... But clarity... It depends how large the copies are... considering that floppy disks can only hold 1.44 MB (more like 1.38...) It is doubtful that a 8x10 photo would come out perfect. If it is not a zip-drive, I would reccommend saving it to a CD-RW... :-\

If it is only 1-3 pictures, you can probably get a pretty clear picture onto the floppy... It's worth a try...

Yes it is. It would be like using a negative film to replicate multiple copies. The clarity is dependent upon the quality of the scan.
