It stands for digital subscriber line. It works by splitting your phone line into two so that you can be on line and on the phone at the same time. DSL is about 25% faster than dial up. Two of my sisters got it and like it. I have cable broadband by way of AOL which makes it much less expensive than their DSL....$25.90 as compared to $49.99.
