well dont let anyone scare you, they dont you clamps nor close pins, It should be a non painful experience, if they hurt you then make a complaint! You stand in front of the machine and place one breast between two plastic plates then there is slight compression and then they have you slightly turned with your arm raised to get muscle tissue in the picture. Next the other side then you get dressed again and wait for the results. Oh and dont wera any powder cream or deoderant before the exam, if you have it on wipe it off with alcohol preps provided. Those things cause artifact on the film and might cause you to have to re do it again. Well good luck its not as bad as going to the gyno.

A mammogram only hurts for a second. They really have to push down to get a good picture of your breasts. It is totally worth to have a mammogram, because they can find cancer early.

Yes, it can hurt but not for long. Its well worth it and very important to have on a regular basis. I always wonder how a man would like his balls put on the platform then squeezed the way we have to have our boobs smashed

i have one every 2 years & it is uncomfortable & cold, friends with small breasts say it hurts a little, (after all your breast is squashed between two panels) the bigger your breast the less it hurts but it is really worth it.
